biography:

I am the guitarist and founder of Metal Witch, now known as Ascension of the Witch. I play Video Games like Castlevania, Final Fantasy, Crash Bandicoot, Mario, Sonic, Zelda, etc... I have a modest toy collection made up of Transformers, Masters of the Universe and some other misc lines like Hot Wheels. I enjoy spending time with my son looking at my collection and playing with his, passing on my love of the brands I grew up with. I ocassionally do customs of some toys and have sold them before. I really don't have many hobbies except collecting, playing music and sometimes building things from wood and other materials. Most of all spending time with my Wife and son.

Now, on to the music side of things... I had many band ideas throughout my life and this was the first one to ever see the light of day, so far. My actual playing experience started in 1995 with my cousins cover band "Prisoner's Hand" where after high school in 1994, I met up with Mike again. We've been friends since 11th grade, but we parted ways again shortly thereafter, when the band fell apart. Then I found this other band my cousin was playing with in early 1997, with a guy fom Ridgely, MD named Tally, his band "Phaze", where I was considering replacing a recently vacant spot left by the departure of Renny Johnson (later to session with us in Metal Witch). I considered, but I didn't want to play a bunch of cover songs. Then later that year I got together with a bunch of guys at my church and put together "Musclecar Junkies" we did a little southern rock thing for a time. Then the guy who started it moved to Ohio, and the rest of us decided to let it go.

After about a month I decided to put my own thing together. And I started working on a project called "Raizer" with Mark Tomasetti, friend and brother of a friend I met in 8th grade. Rick Tomasetti or "Ogre" as we would fonldy call him. As He was and still is my best friend, along with Mike. I recorded 8 demos of songs that I had written, the first real Metal songs I wrote. Mark is in the background of "Pull Me Under" singing / growling. The style was more Metallica than anything. One of the songs was called "Heavy Metal Witch", it was then that I decided to call the project "Metal Witch" I was listening at the time to an obscure NWOBHM band called "Angel Witch", and that helped write the track and name the project.

I called Mike again in 1998 after deciding to go a different direction in the music, and wanted him to sing for me. Then in March we began the long road that would lead us here. For 4 years we struggled to keep it together, through numerousline-ups and songs, then in 2002 I left the band I created, leaving it to Mike, but I never stopped writing or playing guitar. I moved to Michigan in 2003 and met a guy named Scott Haney, who I talked to about a new project "Darkness Falls", and I wrote a title song to the band, but nothing really happened.

And in 2011, after many years of inactivity on the music scene I decided tp start a new project, which I am still working on today called "Bryn-Zion", it is a Rock based project and I have about 5 songs demoed out. That led me to co-write the first new song with Mike since 2006, titled "Stranger Eyes" in 2012. Over the course of the last 4 years Mike had asked me to join him in some capacity in his project called "Infinite Ascension". At first I was hesitant to commit with Bryn-Zion taking my sole attention, After a few years, in 2016 I decided, what the hell, let's do it. I was slowly getting back into playing and I was liking what I was hearing that Mike had been writing and thought, would be interesting to just be the Guitarist and Vocalist and not have to focus on always trying to write the songs. So, now in 2017 we are moving forward on two fronts, Infinite Ascension, and Ascension of the Witch (A.K.A.) Metal Witch, work is slow, but progressing on both.
